Who we are
Tara Connell
Tara has been consulting in the area of training and development for several decades.
With a background in training design and facilitation, she is passionate about helping people become less stressed and reactive and more effective in both their work and personal lives. During her career as a training consultant, Tara has worked in the areas of leadership, management, team development, and front-line service. Her clients include airlines, hotels, banks and credit unions, government departments, statutory bodies, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and automotive industries, and professional firms.
Currently based in New Zealand, Tara has worked with clients in Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, and Qatar.
An accredited and registered Mindfulness Teacher, Tara works with her clients to help them learn how to take control of their experience, develop resilience and emotional intelligence, and enjoy life more.

Steve Connell
Steve has an extensive background in the accounting and business consulting professions and has delivered leadership and sales workshops in Australia and Asia over many years.
After becoming a business coach in 1999, he’s worked with all types of businesses in Australia and New Zealand, helping them establish the vision, culture, strategies, structure and leadership skills needed for success.
Steve is the New Zealand partner of Perth based business coaching company Acuity Group (www.acuitygroup.com.au) and works with his wife, Tara, at Mindful Nation where he focuses on cultural change and executive coaching.
As a trained and accredited Mindfulness teacher, Steve is committed to helping business owners and their staff deal with the stresses of the modern commercial environment and live lives of purpose and well-being.
